Runalaila singer and her famous song

Runalaila is a most legendary famous singer in Bangladesh. She is an international singer in Bangladesh. She created her career in Pakistan film industry. She sings more Ghazals . She sang more song in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan film industries.  Between 60s , 70s  she started her career. 

“Dama Dam mast Qalandar” is her most famous song.

Early life

In sylhet   she was born , in East Pakistan period.  Her father’s home district was Rajshahi .  She learnt kathak,  Bharatanatyam and Kathakali.  She  trained piya Rang and her Ustad was Ustad Habibiddin khan in Karachi. Her first recorded disc of Pakistani film Jugnu. She sang urdu film song with Ahmed Rushdi.

Career

She was performing a Karachi TV stage show (1972-74) . She sang Umarap Jan Ada in 1972.

Films

 In 1974, She sang in Hindi film  Ek se badhkar .Famous  music directors  such as Jaidev, kaiyanji Ananfji, Laxmikant-pyarelal and Bappi Lahiri worked with her.

Runalaila sang many famous film song ,  such as she sang very sweet song in the film the rain film .
