 It grows well in Newfoundland west to Alberta, North America, southwest to Texas, southeast to Florida and subtropical regions.From this plant evening prime rose oil is produced.
Its life span is two years. Its plant height is 30 to 150 cm. Its plants height is 5 to 20 cm.Its flowers are blooming from late spring to late summer.Its flowers are harmaphrodite and blooming in evening time , so it is called evening primerose.Its flower pattern is invisible to the nacked eye and visible under ultraviolet light.
Its another names are fever plant, hog weed, German rampion etc. Its seeds are important food for birds.This plants leaf was used as a vegetable.
