George Washington

George Washington was the first president of the united states and Founding fathers of the United States. During the Revolutionary war he was the Commander –in-chief of the continental Army .He convented and drafted the United States Constitution that remains the supreme law of the land. During the first st Gages of the French and Indian War he became a senior officer in the colonial forces. During the American revolution, he became commander-

in –chief of the continental Army and  In 1775 chosen by the Second Congress . In1776 washington managed to force the British out of Boston. When he lost New York City  later he defeated and captured .He defeated the British in two battles retook New jersey after crossing the Delaware river.At Sarato ga in 1777 and Yorktown in 1781 his revolutionary forces captured two major British armies. In 1783 victory had occurred and he resigned from army as Commander –in –chief. In 1795 he decade of peace with Great Britain.

When 28 years , he married the wealthy widow Martha Dandridge Custis. His wife Martha was gracious, intelligent and experienced. George and Martha had no children and in 1751 he affected with small pox that made him sterile. Martha had lots of property and that made him wealthiest men in Virginia. He  liked hunting and also enjoyed theater, dances in parties, races and cockfights. He played cards, backgammon, billiards. After his death Virginia divided into four offices. In December 1758 , he retired from Virginia  Regiment

commission.

Presidency(1789-1797)

In 1789 he elected as the first president and 1792 also. On April 30, 1789 he took the oath of office, on the balcony of federal hall in newyork city.

On saterday,  at 10 p.m December 14, 1799, aged 67 he died
